The highest point of his creative rise was the time of the Patriotic War of 1812, when he carried on his shoulders the entire patriotic repertoire. Both creative and personal life of Yakovlev passed before contemporaries as the life of a romantic hero. The book is written in the genre of documentary and artistic biographies, with extensive use of the material found for the first time in the archives.
