Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

Ikko Master’s Pied Piper Netsuke: Rare Vintage Postcard
Discover an exceptional piece of Japanese art with our vintage postcard featuring the “Pied Piper” netsuke by Master Hasegawa Ikko. This rare collectible showcases a late 18th-century ivory carving from the State Museum of Asian Art.
Our postcard, published in 1983 by Moscow’s Fine Arts Publishing House, offers a detailed view of Ikko’s intricate carving. Measuring 15 x 10.7 cm (5 7/8″ x 4 3/16″), it perfectly captures the 3 cm tall netsuke’s artistry.
Hasegawa Ikko, one of the greatest netsuke sculptors, was likely a pupil of the renowned artist Ogawa Haritsu (1663-1747). Known for his bold, expressive ivory works, Ikko belonged to the prestigious Tsu school. His distinctive cursive signature is sometimes read as Kazutora.
This netsuke exemplifies Ikko’s sharp vision and mastery. It depicts a pied piper in a tense, squatting pose beside an open cage. A rat has escaped, climbing onto the piper’s left shoulder. The man’s head is sharply turned, his face contorted with horror and disgust, eyes wide, and teeth clenched – capturing the moment just before he leaps to his feet.
Key features of Ikko’s style shine in this piece:
- Naturalistic interpretation of the human body
- Expressive movements
- Dynamic composition
- Contrast between polished ivory and linear engraving
