And although the core of the narrative is the history of the Ural mining family Demidovs – from the savvy blacksmith Nikita, the founder of the “business”, to the weak, corrupted by luxury Anatoly, Prince San Donato, who completed the family lineage – the main character of the trilogy is a talented, hard-working Russian people, patient and rebellious.
