Mayakovskaya station of the Gorky radius of the Moscow Metro named after V.I. Lenin (second stage)
The first stage of the Moscow Metro was put into operation on 15 May 1935. Train traffic on the Gorky radius was opened in September 1938. Now the Moscow Metro system includes: four diameter lines, two radial lines and a ring line connecting them. The total length of metro lines by the beginning of 1972 was 140 kilometres (in double-track calculation) with 91 stations.”
